The mission of Mountain View Middle School is to ensure all students have the necessary academic/social skills which prepare them for high school and empower them to be college and career-ready. Mountain View Panthers exhibit the attributes of Panther PRIDE, which stands for Perseverance, Responsibility, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence.
Mountain View has developed a robust Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program which is an evidence-based three-tiered framework to improve and integrate schoolwide data. This includes schoolwide Panther PRIDE Lessons, PRIDE assemblies focused on PRIDE expectations and reward initiatives. Additionally, students are recognized for displaying their Phenomenal Attendance, Academics and Citizenship (PAAC). As part of the PAAC Track Program students are recognized for their academic success and for exhibiting the attributes of what it means to be a Panther and having Panther PRIDE!
As we focus on the MAGIC that is THE Mountain View Middle School, we align or resources to focus on Mastery, Attendance, Instructional Strategies, Grading Practices and Community Building that ensure the success of the members of our Panther community.
