Dear Mountain View Families, 

My name is Patricia Schiessel and I am the proud principal of Mountain View Middle School!

I completed my education at California Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and LIberal Studies and a Masters of Science in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership. I spent 13 years as a high school Spanish teacher in the Alvord Unified School District before moving to school site administration where I served as Assistant Principal at both the middle school and high school levels in the same district. I spent 3 years at the District Office level in Santa Ana Unified School District where I served as the Coordinator for Secondary Student Achievement, supporting both middle and high schools across the district.

I am thrilled to join the Moreno Valley Unified School District and I look forward to partnering with parents, teachers, staff and the community to support our students in achieving their goals in middle school, high school and beyond.

With over 26 years in education, I bring a deep commitment to creating school environments where every student feels seen and supported. It is an honor to serve as Assistant Principal at Mountain View Middle School where there is a proud legacy of community and connection. My leadership is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and the belief that strong relationships are the foundation of a strong school. I am passionate about cultivating a safe, inclusive environment where staff and students thrive and are empowered to be the best version of themselves. By focusing on strengths, fostering a sense of belonging, and partnering with families and staff, students thrive. They begin to discover who they are, and who they are becoming. I have an open-door policy and I am excited to continue building the Panther legacy together!
