Dear Mountain View Families, 

My name is Patricia Schiessel and I am the proud principal of Mountain View Middle School!

I completed my education at California Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and LIberal Studies and a Masters of Science in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership. I spent 13 years as a high school Spanish teacher in the Alvord Unified School District before moving to school site administration where I served as Assistant Principal at both the middle school and high school levels in the same district. I spent 3 years at the District Office level in Santa Ana Unified School District where I served as the Coordinator for Secondary Student Achievement, supporting both middle and high schools across the district.

I am thrilled to join the Moreno Valley Unified School District and I look forward to partnering with parents, teachers, staff and the community to support our students in achieving their goals in middle school, high school and beyond.

My name is Tiffany Zimmer and I am honored to serve as an Assistant Principal of Mountain View Middle School! 

Before stepping into school leadership, I spent 17 years teaching secondary English Language Arts, where I developed a passion for fostering literacy, critical thinking, and meaningful relationships with students. I then served as an Instructional Coach for three years, partnering with teachers to strengthen instructional practices, support professional growth, and promote student achievement. 

As Assistant Principal, I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. I believe in the power of collaboration among students, families, teachers, staff, and the community to build a positive school culture that supports academic excellence and personal growth. I value strong relationships, open communication, and high expectations, as I work alongside our school community to help every student reach their full potential.

Jermaine Shiver is thrilled to serve as the Assistant Principal at Mountain View Middle School, serving students with last names M–Z.

Mr. Shiver brings a strong foundation of leadership, discipline, and service to his educational role. With over 30 years of experience in education, he has served as an ELA/ELL teacher, athletic coach, site representative, and PBIS coordinator. He is deeply passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.

Mr. Shiver earned his Bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Pepperdine University. He believes the middle school years are a critical time for personal discovery, academic growth, and building confidence, and he is dedicated to supporting both students and staff in reaching their full potential.
